Negombo

Negombo is a coastal town in Sri Lanka located about 37 km north of Colombo. The city lies at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon and is about 7 km from Bandaranaike International Airport. Negombo has a small port and a lively coastal atmosphere. Its economy mainly depends on tourism and a traditional fishing industry that has existed for centuries. In addition to fishing, the town is also known for producing cinnamon, ceramics, and brassware.
